This joyful photo of the Bishop of Barking with the candidates for Confirmation was taken at St Mary’s Woodford, after the service.
Twenty two members of the parish were confirmed alongside others in a special service on 26th November at St Mary’s Woodford. The young people and adults were confirmed by Rt Revd Peter Hill, Area Bishop of Barking. Those confirmed from our parish were:
Samuel, Jago, Nicholas, Florence, Aiden, Kate, Holden, Eleanor, Matthew, Zachariah, Olivia, Oscar, Emily, Eva, Annabel, Amanda, Andy, Suzi, Rachel, Jennifer, William, Stan and Lucy.
Confirmation is a way for members of the Church to confirm and make a commitment to their faith through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming bishop. We wish them all well and pray for them all as they take the next steps on their journey in faith. The parish would also like to thank all those who helped prepare our candidates for confirmation.
Anyone interested in developing their faith and being confirmed should speak to the clergy or keep an eye out for classes which will be run next year and advertised in our pew sheets, here and on our Facebook page.
