Having a sort out of your shed or toolbox? Done with DIY? Feeling sew-sew about crafting? Before you throw out any old tools, read on to see if they could find a new use.

Tools with a Mission (TWAM) is a Christian charity that collects and refurbishes unwanted tools and sends them to projects in Africa where they can be used to enable people to help themselves.

With the help of TWAM, old tools can continue to be used and cherished for many more years to come. The tools are sorted into kits suitable for various trades and shipped to partners in a number of African countries including Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The charity collects tools of all types, as well as sewing machines, haberdashery items, computers and school textbooks. For a comprehensive list of what can be out to good use, see here.
