A message from our Rector

The Church in Wanstead Parish has stood as a beacon of God’s light and love since the thirteenth century.

Today the Parish is situated in the dynamic and outward looking Diocese of Chelmsford.

As a parish of the Church of England, we greatly value our distinctive role in serving not just our own congregations but also the whole of our vibrant and cosmopolitan community.

We have many strong ecumenical links with Christians of other traditions in Wanstead and our friendship and solidarity with people of other faiths in our local area is heartfelt.

Everyone is warmly welcome at all our services and activities, irrespective of race, age, gender, physical ability or sexual orientation.

Together we rejoice in the great and wonderful diversity of God’s creation and we recognize and celebrate the beauty of his image uniquely revealed in one another.

Our aim as a church family is to bring glory to God in everything that we do and in all that we are.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to our inclusive, compassionate community of faith.

Your brother in Christ
