The PCC are pleased to announce that, after a competitive tendering process, Dow Jones Architects have been appointed to work on our year-long Resilient Heritage project which is being funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The Dow Jones team is made up of Biba Dow, Director, Wyn Jones, Architect, and Andy Hutton, of Collaborate & Create who will be looking at reducing the carbon footprint of our parish buildings.
Dow Jones are currently researching our buildings and green spaces to better understand how they have developed over the years and the people connected to them. This research will form a Statement of Significance. They are also working with Dr. Alix Slater, our Project Coordinator and the St Mary’s and Christ Church Resilience Grant Committees to explore how both churches can be used more by our communities, made more accessible to those living with visual, hearing, mobility and other impairments and reduce their carbon footprint. Dr. Alix Slater is also consulting with different stakeholders in the community as she develops a needs assessment.
Please keep Biba, Wyn, Andy, Alix and the Resilience Grant Committees in your prayers.
