Belief

Belonging is believing…

“I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Ephesians 3.18-19

We believe…

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour.

We believe that we are called to repent and to turn to Christ.

We believe that we are called to share the peace and love and light of Christ with all whom we meet, in both word and deed, especially in the forgotten corners of our community and of the world.

We believe that we are not called to judge others but to love and serve others in Christ’s name.

We believe that there is always room for one more at our Lord’s Table.

We believe in Church for everyone. For Jesus Christ died for all.

Baptisms and thanksgiving

As a parish we delight in welcoming new members, be they young or old in to our church community through baptism. We offer baptism services every month throughout the year. Please contact the parish office for more details.

First Communion

First Communion is one of the holiest and most important occasions of our lives. It is the first time we receive the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist: eating the consecrated bread and drinking the consecrated wine.

Once baptised, children are welcome to receive their First Communion at any age.

We offer First Communion classes each year. If you would like to know more, please contact a member of the ministry team.

Confirmation

Confirmation marks the point in our Christian journey at which we decide to affirm the faith into which we were baptised. It demonstrates our intention to live a life of committed discipleship within the church.

Each year we run a number of Confirmation classes for children and young people from Year Six onwards.

We also run an annual group for adults who are considering Confirmation or Baptism. Want to know more? Get in touch with one of our ministry team who will be happy to explain more about this exciting step.

It’s never too late!
