Young People

We see children and young people as the church of today, not tomorrow

Children, young people and families of all shapes and sizes are always welcome in Wanstead parish. During the Covid pandemic our services will take place online – please check our calendar for details.

Children and young people of all ages are warmly welcome to worship across the 11.15 am range of services at St. Mary’s. We offer a wide range of different age appropriate resources to keep children and young people interested and engaged throughout the services and find that they love our boxed pews!

The Bridge (School Years 6-11)

The Bridge is an informal youth group that meets up every Fridays during term time (except half terms, Christmas, Easter & summer school holidays) in the parish hall next to Christ Church to chat, to explore a wide range of topics and to enjoy a range of electronic, traditional games and a tuck shop. The group runs from 7:00-8:30pm.

Wanstead 20s & 30s group

A social group that offers community and friendship to people in Wanstead and the East London area, our programme of events is flexible and very much depends on the interests of our members at the time. It includes: going to gigs, or the cinema, going for walks in Waltham Forest and beyond and evenings in the pub or cafe but we are always open to new ideas.

Please join us! You don’t need to attend church to be a member.

For more information about the group, please contact Father Tom on tomallenbritt@gmail.com or on 07799664118.
