Why did you decide to enter the ministry?

I felt called to ordained ministry, a sense of calling which developed unexpectedly in my second year on the Diocesan Course in Christian Studies, in 2000/01.

Where did you grow up?

Bromley, Kent.

Why did you first come to Wanstead?

When I was first ordained, in July 2006, with the offer of a curacy in the parish. I continue to live up the road in Woodford Green, where my wife Jean and I settled after our marriage in 1981.

Is there anything you’re proud of achieving as an associate priest?

Yes. I’ve taken a pride in leading worship. I’m also proud of the various activities and outings I’ve led for the parish, notably a visit to the Holy Land in 2016 and a subsequent pilgrimage to the island of Iona.

Do you have any interesting facts about yourself?

I was for many years an active Morris Dancer. Long term it often leads to orthopaedic injury, and did for me, but I still follow the dance when I can.

Why should someone want to get in contact with you?

I serve as a spiritual director, so perhaps if they were seeking guidance, and more generally about prayer and worship. I also have a particular interest in later life (my stage!) and have encouraged reflection amongst people at that stage in their lives.
